Twill be gone!

Well, I'll miss ya'll. No, I'm not going away for a really long time or anything, but I'm probably not going to update for the next week. Nationals and everything... I'll be busy. I need to pack. Ugh, I don't like packing, I always forget something really important. Oh yes, for those of you who don't know, the reason I'm going out o' town: The 2003 US National Figure Skating Championships. I'll be seeing the country's best skater skate their little hearts out in a battle to the death. Okay, not death, but it should be interesting.

Let's see... today. Today I went skating (no signs of rink boy), which was quite good. Barry called me a "natural edge skater". I'm guessing that's good. He says it is.

Big event of the day was preparing Helen for her first date! It was so cute. I love seeing people happy. And we had such a great time. First we went crusing (always fun) and then we hung out at my place a bit. Sat in my room and obsessed. I tried to get her to listen to Stereo Fuse, but she just had her head in the clouds. I can't blame her, my head would be in the clouds too. But she let me tell her my Marc and Johnny stories for the umpteenth time, so it was all good.

The best part of helping Helen was getting to play parent when he finally arrived. I was over at her house, helping with the final touches and everything. Then the doorbell rang and her mom couldn't get it. And of course, Helen wasn't ready yet. So who was the only other person in the house? You guessed it. Me. So I answered the door for Helen's date. I wish I could have had a camera to catch that priceless look when I answered the door. It was one of "You're not Helen, and you're not Helen's mom, and Helen's an only child, so who the hell are you?" I quckly introduced myself. He said that Helen had talked about me, which is a bit worrisome. Also, we (her date and I) knew each other in elementary school, though neither of us remembers too much. After that, I stood with Helen's mom and made small talk about his car and the weather. Then Helen made her dramatic entrance looking quite stunning. It was all highly amusing.

All in all, that was my boring day. I know I shouldn't do these day recap entries, but they're really quite fun to write. And I enjoy reading others'. So why can't I write them? Because review sites don't like them? Fuck it all, I'll write what I want! Go me.

Yawn, I gotta get some rest for Nats and pack. See ya'll in a week!

Love,
Phoebe
